Final Fall Ball Details
Here is what we are working on and some more of what you should know!

Rain has been a problem!!!

Hey Parents, I am well aware of the year long frustrations that those in our AMBA community have had with diamond conditions and the rain.  A number of volunteers put in considerable time to make diamonds playable through out the season and still we had numerous cancellations and rescheduled games.  Unfortunately, that seems to be a trend that will continue into the Fall.  We have designated Steen park as the central location for Fall Ball as it simplifies access to the main storage bin.  However, Steen is usually a bit more water logged following the rain and as such, we will relocate to Optimist when possible to keep as many games on the schedule as possible.  That announcement will be made via email, Facebook, or on the website so, please check these locations for updates. (I will post as soon as possible to make everyone aware of that location change.) *in terms of cancellations, the chances of that being possible are quite limited so, we will do the best we can, but with that in mind, we will try to play every week as long as it is deemed safe to do so.

Format and Rules
1 Each week teams will receive 15 minutes of instruction prior to the game being played.
2 Areas of instruction will include, fielding a baseball, how to approach an at bat and hitting, how to run the bases correctly,
and how to throw a baseball(warming up your arm, accuracy and increasing arm strength
3 Games will follow OBA rules and regulations for 9U baseball
4 Time limit of 1hr for games
5 Games will be max 5 innings
6 Teams can score up to 4 runs per inning with the last inning having a 7 run max
7 Last inning will be declared after 45 mins of time(for example, if the home team is starting their at bat and it’s the
bottom of the 3rd inning and its at the 45 min mark, the umpire/league admin will declare the 4th inning to be the
last inning.
8 Games wil be scored using Game changer to collect stats and follow player development
9 Games wil be played using the large wheel pitching machine set to 40mph
